Alison and Connor chose Santorini for their elopement, and they celebrated high on the caldera rim, with the sea stretching out in every direction. This page follows their day from a quiet morning to a sunset dinner with their guests.

Their story

Their elopement day in Santorini

The morning began slowly, in bright white rooms with the Aegean light coming through the windows. Connor spent it with a few of his people, and Alison with the women who mattered to her, and the mood was relaxed and happy, with time for a few quiet moments before the day began.

Then came their first look, on a sunlit terrace above the village. Connor waited with his back turned while Alison walked up behind him in her long veil, and the hug that followed set the tone for the rest of the day. From there they wandered out to the cliffs, where a vintage convertible was waiting, and they spent the golden hours of the afternoon walking along the rim of the caldera, past a small white bell tower and down a stone path to a little chapel, with the veil catching the wind.

Their ceremony took place on a private terrace as the sun began to drop, under a copper arch dressed in pampas grass and soft flowers. They read their vows to each other with the whole caldera behind them, and the people they love close beside them. They poured sand together as a symbol of their new life, exchanged rings, and sealed it with a kiss. Afterwards there were long hugs, happy tears and a toast.

As the sky turned pink and the light fell over the sea, everyone gathered around a long table set on the terrace, and the day ended there, with dinner together and a last kiss at sunset.
